Wedding Day Tips

Here are some great ideas to help you prepare for youer wedding day, or just for general makeup and beauty application to look and feel your best.

Makeup- Please if you are looking around for a suitable makeup artist, have a makeup trial, so you can feel comfortable with how you will look on your special day. This also helps me as a makeup artist learn your style, what suits you, and i can record exactly what you require for the day, this way, i can make you look fabulous without too much fuss or hassle on the day of days, as i will already know what 'look' you are going for.

Waxing- If you are getting waxing done pre wedding, make sure you do this a few days to a week prior, to give your skin a chance to settle before your wedding day.

Spray Tans- i highly recommend spray tans, it will give your skin an even and gorgeous glow, and remember, if wearing white or ivory, if you have super pale skin, you can look 'washed' away in your dress. Light tans can be done just to take the edge off. I recommend you trial a spray tan a good month before your day to ensure you are happy with the colour, ensure that the tan is suitable for your skin type, and make sure you have no reactions. Also recommend you exfoliate and moisturise lots before and after having a tan, to make it look and last best. Popular places i recommend for this is Melbourne Street Tanning and Beauty.

Shoes- make sure you wear in the shoes you will be wearing on your special day, and if brand new, and tend to rub, ensure somone packs a small emergency kit with ban-aids.

Emergency Kit- ensure for your special occasion, that a friend or bridesmaid carries with her an emergency kit; containing band-aids, hair pins, safety pins, and even makeup that u may require to touch up pre photographs or reception.

Bridesmaids- choose carefully. Ensure your bridesmaids and best friends are going to help you enjoy and celebrate your day with you. At the same time, make sure they help you as best they can, remember, your wedding day is your special day. Make sure you give each of your girls a special task to look out for, maybe helping with your dress, flowers, umbrella's, emergency kit, the cars, or organising you a drink and somthing to eat. The less amount of worry on your day the better, and if everyone can help out, it will make your day run even more smoothly. Especially when getting ready, ensure all your girls are ready in plenty of time before your photographer arrives so they will have the time to help you get ready into your dress.

Hair fly aways- if your hair does start to fly away, spray some hairspray onto your hands, and lightly run over the hairs to put them back in place.
